Sawn Timber Pine (RW)
The pine tree, scientifically known as Pinus sylvestris, is a coniferous tree that lacks branches in the lower part of its trunk and has a straight trunk. It usually grows well in low-nutrient soil or bright, dry places. Pine wood is easy to work with, and its darker heartwood may be clearly identified from its yellowish or reddish white sapwood.
Heartwood naturally resists decay incredibly well. Pine offers excellent moisture and heat-resistance qualities as well. When the moisture level of the wood is between 12 and 15 percent, its density typically ranges from 450 to 550 kg/m³.
